This recipe hails from my dad’s sister, my aunt Janette. She is great cook, but she lives far away so if I want to eat her awesome food I have to make it myself. Anytime you need chocolate sauce, you have to use this recipe. None of the crazy additives like other chocolate sauces, plus it’s crazy good.
Start by placing your sugar, cocoa powder and butter in a saucepan.
Then add in on can of evaporated milk.
Stir to combine, then heat to a boil and cook for 2-4 minutes, stirring constantly. That’s it! Only four ingredients and oh so simple.
*Tip-whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder before adding the butter and milk. It will combine much easier for you and all of the cocoa powder won’t float to top like mine did.
Eat it on anything!
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 can evaporated milk
- Mix all ingredients together in a large saucepan. Bring to boil and cook stirring constantly for 2-4 minutes. Sauce will thicken at it cools. Store in the fridge.
